He redtagged the furnace and shut it off leaving us and our 7-month old son in the cold. I asked for a carbon monoxide reading, or another test to prove that this was necessary but he said that the visual check was enough. Of course, there was no way for me to see the cracks but I had to believe this guy! Of course, they wanted to sell a new furnace but we went to somebody else and did it. They couldn't see any cracks in the heat exchanger and neither could the other two technicians we paid to do that. We called the manager at Bosco and he refused to deal with this, not being an "urgent matter".
